What a privilege to join your school!
My role as Chaplain at Archbishop Sumner School is new (there are very few Chaplains in primary schools) and, although I hope to strengthen the already considerable links between school and St Anselm's Church where I am also based part-time, I am here to serve all the pupils, staff and parents, of all religions and none. Partly I shall be focusing on lending additional pastoral and well-being support for all and am available to listen to any concerns children (or indeed parents) may have. I also aim to foster a deeper understanding of faith through creative action and prayer, following the school's core values.
Archbishop Sumner takes a holistic approach to educating children and as its Chaplain, my wish is that each child should flourish academically, emotionally and spiritually.
