Uniform Dress Code

The wearing of school uniform is a key school rule and our uniform code is strongly enforced.  On entering school parents and pupils sign the Home School Agreement which emphasises this aspect of the school’s expectations.

Non-school uniform items are not acceptable.  Staff at the school will speak to children who are not wearing the correct uniform.  Parents will be written to if the uniform rules are not adhered to.

ALL CLOTHING SHOULD BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME AND CLASS

In writing our school uniform code, we have worked to ensure that our school uniform is both inexpensive, obtainable and above all that it is practical.

The Department for Children, Schools & Families strongly encourages all schools to have a uniform.  It can instill pride; support positive behaviour and discipline; encourage identity with, and support for, school ethos; ensure pupils of all races and backgrounds feel welcome; protect children from social pressures to dress in a particular was; and nurture cohesion and promote good relations between different groups of pupils.  Above all, many schools believe that school uniform supports effective teaching and learning.

Please Note:

Uniform is purchased on line through www.stitchdesign.co.uk .  Place your order as early as possible

No jewellery to be worn, this includes earrings at any time) the exception to this is studs or sleepers. Can be worn providing the child can take them out as needed)

Extreme hairstyle are strongly discouraged.  Any hair, which reaches the shoulder, is to be tied back with scrunchies and hair bands in school colours maroon, grey or black.  No hair is to cover the eyes.

Make up should not be worn in school including nail varnish.
